The 9th Hong Kong International Wushu Festival, Hong Kong

The Hong Kong International Wushu Festival is the most amazing competition event and considered  “the myth”, because it has broken many new records in the world wushu sports event. Since the1st wushu festival conducted in 2003 until now, it has successfully completed eight sessions of competitions. This is a grand occasion in wushu and considered a true Olympic Game.

“Wu Debei” the 9th Hong Kong International Wushu Festival is held at Hong Kong Ma'anshan Stadium and Nina Square from 11th to 15th March 2011.This competition event has attracted nearly 8,000 participants from 30 countries and areas namely Chinese inland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, US, Canada, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Australia, Romania, England, Philippines, etc.
Jessie Chung and hubby, Joshua Beh are deeply in loved for the Chinese Wushu. They have emphasized and brought honour to the Chinese Wushu so much so it has strengthened and brought good health to the body. In recent years, acting as Wushu coaches, they have fought up and down the country in the company of numerous trainees. They have participated in many international wushu competitions, and have obtained very impressive results.
Once again, Jessie and Joshua have led their trainees to participate in the Hong Kong International Wushu Festival and being reputed as “The Wushu Olympic Games”. On the way to Hong Kong, they have also received sincere blessing and praise from the Malaysian former Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Musa Hitam at the Kuala Lumpur international airport and commended: “You are the World Class contestants and truly make Malaysia proud.”
In this session of Wushu competition, Jessie and Joshua are participating in 7 and 5 Wushu events respectively. The events are as follows:
Jessie Chung: 1) the butterfly palm, 2) the tornado sword, 3) the overlord spear, 4) nine link broadsword, 5) the sword sparring, 6) double sword, 7) group wushu - Hong fist.
Joshua Beh: 1) the crouching tiger fist, 2) the overlord hammers, 3) south staff, 4) the staff sparring, 5) group wushu - Hong fist
